Both this movie and Shopgirl speak to me for obvious reasons (my last two long term relationships were with men no less than a decade older than me). I do wish, however, that the movie would have ended with her walking out of the school after her speech with the headmistress. It would have made the outcome of her story more about the possibility of her realizations and less about the fallout. I think the film tried to point out that there are more ways to an education than one, and ending the movie after her speech would have done it effectively I feel.
