I said that I thought Avatar/James will win Best Picture and Best Director, even though I think Hurt Locker should win. I also said that I wanted Fantastic Mr. Fox to win Best Animated Film, but that's only because I thought it went above and beyond as far as animated technique went. I loved Up though, and I certainly think it will win and I'll be happy if it does. Really it was a tough pick for me because I loved both movies. I agree with you pretty much on everything else though. :) I did my Oscar picks on my blog. I said that I thought Avatar/James will win Best Picture and Best Director, even though I think Hurt Locker should win.

I wouldn't be surprised if The Hurt Locker wins best picture, but I have a feeling Avatar is gonna win (I still haven't seen it, don't really want to). I absolutely loved The Hurt Locker, but I'm a military brat and have watched my mom and brother go to war twice, so I really identified with it. I loved Anna Kendrick. LOVED her. I haven't seen Precious, so I don't know what the buzz is about, but apparently Mo'Nique is worthy of it. I definitely think Christoph Waltz will win and should win. I was blown away by his performance in Inglourious Basterds and am curious to see what he does next. I can't wait for Sunday!!! Very, very interesting!
