I must express some appreciation to this writer just for bailing me out of this type of problem. Because of browsing throughout the the web and obtaining strategies which were not helpful, I figured my life was well over. Living without the presence of answers to the difficulties you have sorted out by means of your entire article is a critical case, and the ones which could have negatively damaged my career if I hadn’t noticed the website. Your personal talents and kindness in controlling everything was invaluable. I am not sure what I would have done if I hadn’t come across such a step like this. My mother was raised in a family like this with my grandmother being akin to Elizabeth, I think. I knew this before seeing the movie, though I have not read the book. My mother’s older sister said the book changed her life and she needed to go see the movie. I think it’s because a lot of things finally made sense in understand the relationship between my grandmother and their help, Alberta. While sitting in the theatre with my mother she became uneased a number of times, apparently these scenes played out in her childhood and overall she said she didn’t like the movie. I can put two and two together. I was fortunate enough to know Alberta as she worked for my grandmother (for almost 40yrs) until Alberta’s death in the mid-90s. It was a great movie and one that must be shared with everyone, especially kids like me who grew up in the South where segregation and racism is a very dark cloud and sorrowful burden we carry.

just saw this yesterday–i went into it not knowing much but hearing it got rave reviews. i found it endearing and quirky…not the best movie i’d ever seen, but enjoyable for a sunday afternoon! :)

i loved Match Point too! i saw it in Florence when i was aboard and halfway through, they did a 20 min intermission, at such a crucial part! i think i will rent this one.

I haven’t seen it, but every time I see that poster for it I think of my sister’s bridesmaids. There are five of us and we’ll be wearing pink dresses. That’s about all that there is in common, but still.

I really enjoyed this movie. My fave part was the amazing chemistry between Emily & Matt. After the movie I told my husband I wanted them to leave their spouses and marry each other–their chemistry was THAT good!

I love Philip K. Dick and have read the short story, so I was definitely excited to see it. I went in with no expectations and really enjoyed it. It wasn’t oh-my-god-best-movie-ever amazing, but it was fun and kept my attention.

I’m totally with you on the chemistry between Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. It was incredible! I looooooooove Matt Damon and thought it was a great role for him. Emily was fantastic, too.

I just saw this over the weekend! I have to agree that it’s good for a movie rental. I enjoyed it, but the trailer had me thinking it would be a bit darker. I’m glad it had its twists and turns and didn’t become some weird, dark, unhappy ending.

In regard to Matt Damon– Yummy! I hadn’t realized how much older he is/is getting until this movie. But hey, older dad or not, he’s still got it. And I loved Elise’s character. I’m glad she was realistic in terms of how she reacted to David’s actions.

I absolutely loved this movie. I actually bought the book for my Nook Color on Monday and ended up seeing the movie the following Tuesday. Now, I wouldn’t go as far to give it an A+ but its a solid A in my book and by far Matthew (who is looking rather old)M’s best work in a long time. And Phillippe…………I swoon.

I watched Movie Blue Valentine. Blue valentine is lovely and emotionally devastating. I came away from this movie more wary of love and relationships than any movie i have ever seen.

I just saw The King’s Speech last night and thought it was amazing! I loved the relationship between Bertie & Lionel–amazing work by both Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush.

My husband and I were talking about it on the way home afterward and agreed that this movie could have sucked. I mean, really? A movie about fixing someone’s stutter. Sounds riveting.

But this was written, directed and acted so well that it was just captivating. LOVE!

Can’t wait for this flick to come to China. I also LOVE Colin Firth and agree despite one bad decision (What a Girl Wants), he’s great and deserves some Academy recognition. I’ll let you know my thoughts after I watch!!

I have seen this film and it has it all: serious drama, comedy, fantastic acting from the entire cast, and a heart wrenching true story. Loved every minute of it.

i also love colin firth. everything he does is top notch. the previews look interesting for sure, but i was worried it would be boring to the average joe viewer. good to hear that it wasn’t. i’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is colin’s year to nab the oscar!! he looks so dapper in a tuxedo. :)
